Waiver of Liability

By using the S7UDIO premises and equipment, you acknowledge and accept the following terms:

Participation in activities within the S7UDIO may involve inherent risks, including potential physical or emotional injury, damage to personal property, or unforeseen incidents.

In consideration for being granted access to the S7UDIO, you voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to release, hold harmless, and indemnify The S7UDIO Pty Ltd, its owners, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any liability, claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising from or connected with your use of the studio — including personal injury, property damage, or any loss, accident, judgment, fine, or legal fees.

This waiver remains in effect during and after your booking for any causes that arise during your time in the studio.

Safety

  • Your safety is our priority. The studio features clearly marked emergency exits and safety equipment. If you have any concerns during your session, please contact our team.

  • For security purposes, the studio is monitored by CCTV. Footage may be reviewed to verify incidents and ensure the safety of all users.

  • All hirers and attendees must drive at or below 12 km/h within the complex. This is an active industrial area with regular foot and vehicle traffic — please drive cautiously at all times.

Equipment Use & Faults

  • All equipment is tested and maintained regularly; however, technical issues may occasionally occur.

  • Hirers are responsible for checking equipment at the start of their session and must immediately notify the S7UDIO of any fault or malfunction.

  • If an issue is reported promptly during the session, the S7UDIO will make reasonable efforts to assist where appropriate (subject to availability).

  • Failure to notify the S7UDIO at the time of the issue forfeits the hirer’s right to a refund, credit, or compensation relating to the equipment.

  • the S7UDIO is not liable for any impact on the hirer’s project, production, or session outcomes arising from unreported or late-reported faults.

Equipment Changes & Call-Out Fees

  • A $50 call-out fee applies for any mid-session equipment change (including switching between Strobes and LED lighting), plus any applicable hire costs.

  • Equipment changes are subject to availability, and the S7UDIO is not responsible for delays resulting from last-minute requests.

Limitation of Liability

  • the S7UDIO is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings, digital files, or content created during your session.

  • the S7UDIO is not liable for technical disruptions outside of its control, such as power outages, internet outages, or unavoidable equipment malfunctions.

Environmental Factors & External Disturbances

  • the S7UDIO is located within an active industrial/commercial area. While we aim to provide a professional and comfortable environment, the S7UDIO cannot guarantee control over external conditions including, but not limited to, neighbouring business activities, trade works, construction, machinery noise, vehicle traffic, vibrations, or other disturbances outside of our premises.

  • Such circumstances may occasionally impact filming, audio recording, content creation, or the overall studio experience and do not automatically constitute grounds for refunds, credits, compensation, or cancellation.

  • Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to advise hirers of known disruptions; however, these external factors remain outside of our control.

Reporting of Issues & Concerns

  • Hirers are encouraged to report any issues or concerns to the S7UDIO as soon as reasonably possible during their booking so the matter can be properly documented and reviewed where appropriate.

  • Matters arising from circumstances beyond the S7UDIO’s control do not automatically constitute grounds for refunds, credits, compensation, or cancellation.

  • All concerns and requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the S7UDIO.

Damage & Cleaning

  • The hirer is responsible for any damage to the S7UDIO premises, furniture, props, or equipment caused during their booking. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the hirer.

  • The cyclorama must not be stepped on at the curved section. Damage to this area will incur a minimum $300 repair fee. Other damages will be charged at full repair or replacement cost.

  • A minimum $100 cleaning fee will apply if the premises are not left in a clean and tidy condition.

Booking Times & Overtime

  • All setup and pack-down must be completed within the booked hours.

  • If a session runs overtime, an $80 fee will be charged per hour (or part thereof). Multiple hours of overtime will incur multiple charges.

  • Additional time is subject to studio availability and must be arranged in advance.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Refunds are not offered for cancellations.

  • Bookings can be rescheduled once only, with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Rescheduling credit is valid for 30 days from the original booking date and can be applied toward a future session that meets the minimum two-hour booking requirement.

  • If a booking that has already been rescheduled is later cancelled, it is not eligible for any refund or credit.

  • Cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours before a session are not eligible for credit or refund.

  • No refunds or credits are provided for unused time if a booking finishes early.

Conduct

  • Hirers and their attendees are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly while on the premises.

  • Abusive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate termination of the session without refund.

  • Hirers are responsible for the conduct and actions of all attendees, crew, and contractors they bring onto the premises.

Insurance

  • For large productions, hires involving more than 20 attendees, or activities considered higher-risk (including events with alcohol, catering, or complex setups), the S7UDIO may require evidence of current public liability insurance (minimum $10 million).

  • For smaller bookings, we recommend that hirers hold public liability insurance to cover potential incidents involving their crew, talent, or equipment.

Force Majeure

  • the S7UDIO is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to government restrictions, natural disasters, or industrial action.
